Mexican government begins plans for possible Donald Trump deportation of Mexicans

16/11/16

Eduardo Sanchez, the spokesman for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has revealed that the country has started preparing for mass deportation of Mexicans from the U.S under president elect Donald Trump.

Speaking in a news conference, Sanchez said deportation plans will be discussed by Trump and Neto when they meet before he assumes office as news of Trump's election victory sent shock waves across the nation, crashing the Mexican currency- the Peso, in the process.

"We will have to see how many of those deportations, usually done by the United States government to the countries where the illegal immigrants are from, are for Mexico," he said.

"Of course this and other matters will be part of the agenda that Mexico brings to the table during the bilateral meetings that will take place with the government-elect of President(-elect) Donald Trump."

According to Sanchez, Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz will coordinate the deportation efforts.

During a CBS interview on Sunday, U.S President elect Donald Trump reiterated that he would deport, or incarcerate, up to 3 million illegal immigrants.

"What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, we have a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we're going to incarcerate.
"But we're getting them out of our country, they're here illegally."
"we want to secure our border.

The President, National Association of Nigerian Students, Comr. Aruna Kadiri, has visited the injured students of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State, in the hospital where they are currently receiving treatments.

AAU students who were protesting the over 400% increment of school fees on Monday were shot by some deployed officers of Nigerian Army with two feared dead while several others sustained various degrees of injury.

“We were protesting peacefully until our Vice-chancellor, Prof Prof. Ignatius Akhakhia Onimawo, deployed some men of the Nigerian Army to brutalize us. As a result, two of our students have been shot,” a student confirmed.

The soldiers who shot the two students also threatened to kill the NANS President if he dares protest the shooting of his colleagues.

President Aruna alongside other zonal leaders of Nigerian students immediately visited the institution following the incident. He vowed to pursue the case to a logical conclusion.

ASUU Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, said it would embark on a one week warning strike over failure by the Federal Government to implement the 2009 Agreement and 2013 MoU.
ASUU National President, Biodun Ogunyemi, spoke on Monday at the University of Abuja during a press conference organised by the union.
Mr. Ogunyemi said following a nationwide consultation with members, the National Executive Council, NEC, of ASUU resolved to embark on a one week warning strike from Wednesday November16.
“Many aspects of the 2013 MoU and the 2009 agreement with the Federal Government have either been unimplemented or despairingly handled.
“The agreements are: Payments of staff entitlements since December 2015, funding of universities for revitalisation, pension, TSA and university autonomy and renegotiation of 2009 Agreement.
“Failure by the Federal Government to implement this agreement has put ASUU leadership in severe difficulty, responding to inquiries from members of the union about the state of our agreement,” he said.
The ASUU president said that during the warning strike, there shall be no teaching, examination and no attendance at statutory meetings in all branches.
He, however, called on all education-loving Nigerians to prevail on the Federal Government to address the patriotic demands of ASUU until the Nigerian university system is repositioned.

240 Boko Haram Terrorists Surrender To Chadian Soldiers In Lake Chad
Over 200 Boko Haram fighters and their families have surrendered in Chad in the past month, security and U.N. sources said, in a sign the military campaign against them is making headway.
Boko Haram, which has killed and kidnapped thousands of people, had seized an area approximately the size of Belgium in northeastern Nigeria by last year but has since lost significant ground amid growing regional military pressure.
Analyst and security sources think the fighters are probably recent recruits that Boko Haram has struggled to retain as it has ceded territory. Defections of Boko Haram fighters have been reported in Nigeria but are not known to have previously occurred on such a large scale.
“They surrendered to our troops on the front line in Lake Chad,” said Colonel Mohammad Dole, Chief Military Public Information Officer for the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) headquartered in Chad’s capital N’Djamena.
“The surrenders are taking place because of the firepower of our operations. The groups, many of them armed, have been arriving since September and their number keeps increasing,” he said.
Some 240 fighters, most off whom are Chadian, are now being held in detention along with their families, Dole said.

Genres : Adventure | Fantasy | Mystery (2014)

Early 18th century. Cartographer Jonathan Green undertakes a scientific voyage from Europe to the East. Having passed through Transylvania and crossed the Carpathian Mountains, he finds himself in a small village lost in impassible woods. Nothing but chance and heavy fog could bring him to this cursed place. People who live here do not resemble any other people which the traveler saw before that. The villagers, having dug a deep moat to fend themselves from the rest of the world, share a naive belief that they could save themselves from evil, failing to understand that evil has made its nest in their souls and is waiting for an opportunity to gush out upon the world.

OMG😥🤔 Iphone 7 , The Second Phone To exploade This Year

Samsung Mobile doesn’t look like the only company that has to deal with exploding devices this year, as an iPhone 7 too reportedly exploded when accidentally dropped. This was said to happen in Yunnan province, Southwest China when a user mistakenly let the phone hit the ground.

This has been circulating in Chinese media and according to a report on this Chinese website, the phone started emitting smoke and vibrating vigorously after the drop. Next, the battery exploded, leaving a burnt device with the screen almost detaching from the chassis.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 7 took the center stage of explosive mobile devices this year, there seems to be something fundamentally wrong with the iPhone 7 as well. This isn’t the first time an explosion is being reported.
An iPhone 7 has reported heated up and exploded while being charged in a car. Another one suddenly exploded while still in its package. Apple is yet to make a statement or publicly acknowledge this.

This explosions appear to be the result of OEMs trying to make the devices as thin as possible; terrible battery engineering seems to be the outcome.

Use This App To Sign Documents To Sign Documents On Your Smartphone Without Any Printer

I shouldn’t tell you that printing out a document, signing it, and then scanning it back is so 2005! If you still do that:
Of course, I am 😒
Anyway, I have tried virtually all the Signature apps available, but this is the best so far! I’d like to introduce you to Adobe’s Fill & Sign — a simple app from Adobe that wants to help you add your signature(s) to a document using only your Smartphone.
_dsc0046
It’s hassle-free! Just install (It is available on both iOS and Android platforms), click on the “Create Signature” tab — this would bring out a window where you can use your finger or a stylus pen to draw out your signature.
_dsc0033
In Emmanuela’s voice, this is not my real signature oh.
Next, import your document and select the area that you need to append your signature.  A menu where you can either add a text or your signature should appear. In this case, my ugly signature would do just fine.
_dsc0044
From there you can drag the signature to a new spot, resize, or adjust color, opacity, thickness.
If you are satisfied with the result, just hit the back button once, select the document and click on the share button to send to whichever destination you want.

_dsc0040
Easy breezy!
So, if you still print, sign and scan documents in 2016, you can go and sin no more.

Mark Zukerberg -Facebookn Owner Loves And Encourages Nigerian Developers

Mark Zuckerberg
In a time where most of the news articles you read or hear about Nigeria is on corruption, boko haram or a gloomy economic disposition ,and being here in the US I take so much time and passion to explain to anyone I meet about  many great stuffs about Nigeria and how hard working ,industrious the Nigerian people are especially the young Nigerians. So it gladdens my heart to see how Mark Zuckerberg, the Founder of Facebook has recognized the ingenuity of young Nigerian developers.Yesterday in a Facebook post here is what Mark wrote and that has become a great inspiration to many young developers  on Facebook who despite all the odds in the country are building their businesses.
Excerpts from Mark Zuckerberg’s post:
Today we’re partnering with Airtel A
frica to launch Internet.orgFree Basics in Nigeria.
There’s a lot of innovation across Africa right now, and Nigeria in particular is home to a lot of talented developers.
In 2009, Olalekan Elude, Ayodeji Adewunmi and Opeyemi Awoyemi started a site called Jobberman in their dorm to help connect people looking for work with companies looking to hire. Now Jobberman is one of the top 100 websites in Nigeria, and it gets 5,000 applications every day.
Free Basics offers Nigerians, including 90 million people who are currently offline, the opportunity to access news, health information and services like Jobberman that were built by Nigerians and other developers across West Africa — all without having to pay for data.
Free Basics is now live in more than 40 countries, and half of those are in Africa. Over the next few months, we’ll be doing even more to connect developers with people who can use their apps — and partner with local companies to bring internet to people across Africa who don’t have access to mobile networks.
In the meantime, I’m excited to see what Nigerians build next!

Thanks Mark for inspiring change around the world and your kind words about Nigerian Developers
!

Nokia Has JerkeD The World With There Android Revealing Classic Photos

I Reported not long ago, that Nokia is coming back from the dead as an Android OEM. Microsoft sold the feature phone division to a subsidiary of Foxconn, named FIH Mobile. In the same vein, on the same day, Nokia released a really confusing press release to announce that they’ve given a license to a Finnish company named HMD Global, to create Nokia-branded smartphones and tablets. Obviously, the new generation of Nokia smartphones will run Android.

See Video Here

Over the weekend, I saw a bunch of images on Twitter, with claims that “this is what the Nokia-branded Android smartphone” will look like. When I saw the images, my first thought was that the new phone (if it’s not a hoax) looked a lot like a Blackberry PRIV with the keyboard tucked in. I love it.
I liked (or favourited, depending on whether you’ve updated your Twitter app or not) the tweets, so I’d get to them this morning and write this post, but my network provider tried to stop my greatness. But they are not God – a few minutes ago, I found the images again, on MobilityArena. Here goes nothing.

Lagos State Government Wants To Teach 1Million Students Coding By 2016

CodeLagos is the brainchild of the Lagos State Government (LASG) as part of its bid to make Lagos state a technology frontier, and is also in line with the smart city agenda of the the current administration. The program aims to teach 1 million students how to code by 2019.
On Friday, November 11, 2016, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will launch CodeLagos at a private corporate event with guests from different sectors of the economy.
By making coding curriculum accessible to every student in Lagos State, the program hopes to position students in Lagos state to leverage on local and global opportunities and meet the growing demand for tech skills.
Talking about the CodeLagos programme, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Obafela Bank-Olemoh, said at a recent press briefing,“Our goal for ‘CodeLagos’ programme is to teach one million students in Lagos State the basic knowledge involved in computer coding system by 2019. This programme will be available to our students from primary to tertiary education level.”
The programme will integrate different programming languages to its curriculum, considering a range of factors. There will also be accelerated classes for gifted students whose learning pace might be faster than their counterparts.
CodeLagos plans to create about 1,200 jobs by early 2017. The program is hiring facilitators for the initial stage. Applicants do not need to possess any previous coding experience as they will undergo training with the program’s technical partners to prepare for teaching the curriculum.
The LASG and the Lagos State Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology has partnered with organisations like SystemSpecs, Google, SAP and Praeklt to provide technical support for this project.
By April 2017, CodeLagos centres will be launched in 500 primary, secondary and tertiary institutions (private and public) across Lagos State, as well as in all public libraries and ICT spaces. There are also plans to enable interested parties log into the CodeLagos website and learn to code at their own pace.

Black Friday Is Here On KONGA . Get Ready For Yakata

Konga, Nigeria’s largest online shopping mall, is gearing up for its busiest shopping day of the year, Yakata, the Nigerian equivalent of ‘Black Friday’. The main event will run from November 18 to 21st, when the online marketplace will slash prices on tens of thousands of consumer goods.

Yakata, which literally means ‘when something big falls in a big way’, was started by Konga in 2013, to give Nigerian online shoppers the benefits of huge discounts on leading consumer goods. Last year, at its peak, the company was processing over 100 laptops an hour from its Lagos-based headquarters, and sold thousands of items in a 24 hour period. This year, the ecommerce giant expects its marketplace to generate N2.5Bn [USD 8M] during Yakata, making it the Konga’s busiest shopping day in the company’s history.

It comes as no surprise that for Yakata 2015, the item most searched for and ordered by Nigerian shoppers in the world’s second most ‘mobilized’ country, was the mobile phone, swiftly followed by home appliances, laptops and fashion. The most popular consumer brands include Samsung, Snookor, Hp, Alcaltel, and Blackberry. Last year, Yakata took over 79,000 orders, with the in-house team dealing with 1,000 inbound calls per hour, and, at its peak, processing almost 2,700 orders in an hour. Building on the success of Nigeria’s ‘Black Friday’, the Konga team is looking to make Yakata 2016 bigger yet.
Amidst the challenging economic climate in Nigeria, Konga CEO Shola Adekoya, remains optimistic for a blockbuster 2016. He says, “We are expecting a buoyant Black Friday or, as we like to call it, Yakata, 2016. Just like Black Friday in the West, Yakata kicks off the holiday shopping season for us retailers. As millions of Nigerians are feeling the pinch financially, we know that they will be looking out for the very best value for their money, and will be visiting Konga to source the best deals. Our customer service teams are already receiving hundreds of queries a day concerning what offers we will be offering this year, so we have strong indications as to what our shrewd shoppers are on the lookout for.
“Our 60,000+ merchants are mobilized and ready to sell their stock at super-heavily discounted prices to our one million+ customers throughout Nigeria. As e-commerce continues to grow at a furious pace in Nigeria, we are prepared for a massive influx of traffic, primarily from mobile, from both existing and new customers, who will benefit from the largest range of consumer goods online, as well as speedy and reliable order fulfilment”.
Konga recently launched ‘Fulfilled by Konga’, whereby its 60,000+ merchants can now store and have all their orders delivered by Konga’s in-house team, reducing processing times from 40 hours to 3 hours, a 90% reduction. The company’s technical team has also been preparing for the huge increase in traffic during Yakata, and will be relying on its ultra-optimized mobile platform, that is data efficient, to meet the needs of Nigerian online shoppers.
